A solenoid valve uses the magnetic force generated after the magnet coil is energized to attract and overcome the working pressure of the torsion spring to raise the position of the valve core; it has only one magnet coil, a simple structure, and low cost, and is only used for power on/off;
An electric valve pushes the valve seat and the valve core position by a motor, and electric valves are also divided into shut-off valves and control valves. A shut-off valve opens and closes when working in two positions; a control valve is fitted with an electric valve positioner, which, through closed-loop regulation, dynamically keeps the valve core at a certain position.
Comparison of the applications of electric and solenoid valves:
Automotive carbon steel one-way solenoid valve: used for power switching of liquid and gas pipelines, using two DOs. Suitable for small and medium-sized pipelines.
Electric valve: used for PLC regulation of material flow in liquid and gas daily-air system pipelines, using AI control. In the control of large and medium-sized gate valve daily-air systems, electric valves can also be used for two-position power switching control.
Solenoid valve: only used as an on/off quantity, controlled by DO; temperature-control solenoid valves are only used for small pipeline control, commonly seen in pipelines of DN50 and below.
Oil press one-way solenoid valve: can provide AI feedback signals; drain solenoid valves can be controlled by DO or AO, and are more commonly seen in large pipelines and electric air valves, etc.
1. When the pipeline rigidity is insufficient, it is recommended to fix the pipeline in front of the valve with a support bracket to prevent vibration caused when the solenoid valve is working.
2. The working substance of a steam solenoid valve should be clean and free of particulate sediment; the dirt on the surfaces of the solenoid valve internals and the filtration system should be cleaned on time.
3. To facilitate prompt protection of the solenoid valve when problems occur and ensure the normal operation of the system, it is best to install a bypass device.
4. In the pipeline system, the pipe diameter of the ultra-high-pressure one-way solenoid valve installed on a branch should be smaller than the pipe diameter of the main pipeline gate valve.
5. During installation, the solenoid valve's magnet coil should face upward and be kept vertical; the arrow or mark on the solenoid valve should be consistent with the pipeline inflow; it must not be installed in an area with water splashing or leakage.
