The gap between a normally open solenoid valve and a normally closed solenoid valve is quite large; the difference can be seen from their names. According to the length of continuous working time, we can choose the normally closed type or the normally open type.

1. The solenoid valve must be closed for a long time, and the closed time exceeds the open time. Moreover, the duration is also very long — a piston-type normally open solenoid valve. If the time is not long, the normal type can be selected.

2. When it is open for a long time and closed for a long time, a self-control solenoid valve should be selected, that is, a normally open/normally closed magnetic valve.

3. When a normally closed one-way solenoid valve is in the open state for a long time and is in the closed state, and the continuous open state, if the time is not long, the conventional type can be selected.

4. Or for gas alarms, a normally open gas emergency cut-off device, with a manual opening function, should be selected.

5. However, in some cases safety protection is required, such as oven and kiln flame detection, where the normally open type cannot be selected; one that can be used for a long time should be selected.

6. If the open and close times are very long, or a long time, then it is a maintained solenoid valve, that is, a normally open/normally closed solenoid valve.
