Textiles are woven from textile fibers; the fabric surface is prone to defects such as lace patterns and foreign-object attachment, which have a certain impact on the product's appearance quality and thus reduce production costs, so surface cleaning of fabrics is essential. Electric actuators are characterized by easy availability and fast energy transfer, but their structure is relatively complex and their explosion-proof performance is poor. Hydraulic drive devices are rarely used in industries such as chemical and oil refining, despite having high output power.

Pneumatic devices have a simple structure, simple installation and protection. Since the medium is air, it is much harder to ignite than hydraulic oil, making them safer to use. The working medium is the inexhaustible air, which itself costs nothing. The exhaust treatment process is simple, pollution-free to the environment, and low in cost.

Output power and working speed adjustment are simple. Cylinder working speed usually does not exceed 1 m/s, and its operating speed is higher than hydraulic or electric methods. It has a long service life and high reliability. The working life of electrical equipment is about one million cycles, while ordinary solenoid valves last over 30 million cycles, and some high-quality valves exceed 200 million cycles; however, attention should be paid to the matching wholesale price of the double yarn clip.

Using compressed air, energy can be stored, thereby achieving gas accumulation. Energy can be released briefly to achieve high-speed response for intermittent actions. Buffering can be performed. It has good impact resistance and overload capacity. Under certain conditions, the pneumatic device can have a self-holding capability. Fully air-operated, it has fire-proof, explosion-proof, and moisture-proof capabilities. Compared with hydraulic methods, the pneumatic method is more suitable for high-temperature environments.
