Compared with gasoline carburetors, electric vehicles have higher requirements for fuel, because even the tiniest impurities can damage precision parts. Therefore, electric vehicles must use a dedicated engine oil compressed air filter to prevent them from entering the nozzles and cooling valves. The gasoline filter is a key component of the electronic fuel injection system; only an engine oil filter that matches or exceeds this standard can meet the clean fuel required by the electronic injection system, achieving performance and providing engine protection.

The importance of gasoline is like food for humans; without gasoline, a vehicle cannot move forward at all. Moreover, gasoline contains a large amount of impurities that can damage components such as injectors, fuel pumps, and fuel pipes, thereby affecting the operation of the fuel system. Thus, the function of the gasoline filter is fully utilized at this point. Simply put, it filters out solid impurities such as iron oxide and dust, or water and other impurities in the gasoline, which reduces the possibility of injectors being clogged by dirt and ensures the quality of the gasoline entering the fuel system.

There are two types of filters: one is porous ceramic, the other is paper. The paper cartridge is made of microporous filter paper treated with resin; it has good filtering effect, low price, and is easy to replace, thus it is widely used.

Gasoline self-cleaning filters are divided into carburetor and electronic-injection filters. The engine oil filter is set on the inlet side of the oil pump, operates at low working pressure, and generally uses a nylon cover; while the fuel filter is set at the outlet of the output oil pump and works under high pressure, so it generally uses a metal casing. Currently, most gasoline filters are made of filter paper, as well as nylon cloth, polymer materials, etc.
