1. Parameter Selection Method for 2-Position 2-Way Right-Angle Solenoid Valve Pipelines

1) Determine the diameter (DN) based on the on-site pipe inner diameter or flow velocity requirement.

2) Connection method: usually flange connection for above DN50; below DN50, any can be selected per customer requirement.

2. Select the SMC solenoid valve's material and temperature group according to fluid parameters.

1) Corrosive liquids: corrosion-resistant normally-open solenoid valves and all-stainless-steel can be selected; for edible ultra-clean liquids, food-grade stainless steel material can be selected.

2) High-temperature liquids: select solenoid valves made of heat-resistant insulating and sealing materials, and select piston type.

3) Fluid condition: gas, liquid, or mixture, especially when the diameter exceeds DN25, must be distinguished.

4) Fluid viscosity: generally not lower than 50 cSt; if beyond this range, a high-viscosity solenoid valve should be selected.

3. Select the solenoid valve's principle and structure type according to pressure parameters.

1) Rated pressure: this parameter is the same as other common valves, determined by the pipeline rated pressure.

2) Working pressure of the liquid normally-open solenoid valve: when the working pressure is small, the direct-acting or stepwise direct-acting principle should be adopted: *when the working differential pressure is greater than 0.04 MPa, direct drive. There are two types: stepwise direct-acting and pilot-operated.

4. Electrical selection: AC220V, DC24V recommended.

5. Select according to its own working time:

1) When the solenoid valve is open for a long time and its duration is greater than the closed time, normally-open type should be selected.

2) If the open time is short, or the open and closed times are few, select the normally-closed mode.

3) But under some protective conditions, such as furnace flame monitoring, normally-open type cannot be selected; the long-energized type should be selected.

6. Select explosion-proof, check, manual, water-proof spray, or submersible according to site needs.
