Failure of the oxygen concentrator's SMC solenoid valve will directly affect the operation of the switching valves and control valves; abnormal solenoid valve operation is common and should be checked from the following aspects:
(1) SMC solenoid valve coil burnout: remove its leads and measure with a multimeter; if open, the coil is burnt. The cause is coil dampness leading to poor edges and magnetic flux leakage, causing excessive current in the coil and burnout; therefore, rainwater should be prevented from entering the solenoid valve.
(2) Air leakage. Air leakage causes insufficient air pressure, forcing the hydraulic-control check solenoid valve to be difficult to open and close, because damaged seals or valve cores create multiple internal voids.
(3) SMC solenoid valve stuck. Disassemble the solenoid valve, remove the valve core, clean with CCl4 to allow flexible operation of the valve core in the sleeve. When disassembling, pay attention to the installation order of each component and the external wiring position, so that reassembly and connection are normal, and check whether the nozzle is blocked and lubrication grease is sufficient.
(4) Loose or disconnected terminals of the SMC solenoid valve; the SMC solenoid valve cannot be energized and can be tightened.
The SMC solenoid valve is a flammable and explosive gas alarm system; its design must be based on actual conditions and scientific instructions. The electrically-controlled normally-open solenoid valve can be better guaranteed in actual operation, and scientific guidance can provide a theoretical basis for valve design. Gas explosion-proof safety valves should be installed in areas where flammable and explosive gases leak, that is, the direct leakage source, so these locations should be where explosion-proof solenoid valves are installed.
Considering that after gas leakage, it may spread due to wind direction or the characteristics of S gas, leading to fire, it is necessary to find the dead corners easily formed after gas leakage. When ventilation is poor, the corners between walls or beams form a stagnant area; alarms should be designed and installed in these places.
