The 4V4A series manifold base features centralized air supply, centralized exhaust, and space-saving functions. Inside the manifold plate, at least two independent through-channels are provided; the inlet spacing of the two channels is larger than their respective outlet spacing, and a directional outlet pipe is installed at the channel outlet. The outlet manifold plates are all equipped with joints and pin holes parallel to the outlet pipe.
In the design and application of complete automated systems, a single air source (such as an air compressor) is usually adopted while multiple solenoid valves operate simultaneously. Therefore, the single air source must be distributed to multiple solenoid valves, and the manifold base accomplishes exactly this.
The intake is supplied by the air source, distributed through the solenoid valve manifold base, and connected via pneumatic hoses and pneumatic fittings to the pneumatic components inside the equipment (e.g., pneumatic solenoid valves), so that a small amount of gas can supply multiple pneumatic components.
Solenoid valves are divided into three types: tube-type, plate-type, and series-type. The bus bar plate is an indispensable part of the plate-type solenoid valve. Solenoid valves are centrally mounted on the bus bar plate; each suction hole is controlled by an electromagnetic coil. The plate-type valve plate facilitates centralized installation, unified management, valve islands, etc.
Manifold base processing technology:
1. Surface treatment: Generally includes electroplating, painting, and baking paint for the sliding 2-way 2-position solenoid valve, etc. Among these, the anodizing method places the aluminum sheet into a corresponding electrolyte solution (such as sulfuric acid, chromic acid, oxalic acid, etc.) and performs electrolysis under certain conditions. After anodizing the aluminum sheet, a 5–20 μm thick alumina layer forms on its surface, while a hard anodized film can reach 60–200 μm. After anodizing, the anodized film has a melting point up to 2320 K, good insulation, a breakdown voltage of up to 2000 V, and improved corrosion resistance.
2. Drilling and tapping: Drilling and tapping are important processes for the connecting plate. Currently most manufacturers do this manually, but manual operation inevitably causes issues such as misaligned holes, so using CNC is very suitable to ensure accurate and smooth hole positions, thus guaranteeing the valve's service life and safety.
