A pressure reducing valve, also called a pressure regulating valve, functions to adjust a high input pressure down to a specified output pressure, keeping it stable despite fluctuations in flow rate or fluctuations at the supply end.

A pneumatic pressure reducing valve consists of an actuator and an adjusting device. The actuator is a driving element of the regulating valve that generates a corresponding driving force based on the pressure of the control signal, thereby moving the adjusting device. The valve body of an air filter pressure reducing valve is the regulating element of a pneumatic reducing valve that directly contacts the medium being regulated and adjusts its flow. This valve uses compressed air as the power source, and the rotation of the piston drives a 90° crank-arm rotation, thereby achieving automatic opening and closing of the valve.

Adjustment range: The adjustment range refers to the range over which the output pressure P2 of the reducing valve can be regulated; within this range a certain level of accuracy must be ensured. The magnitude of the pressure adjustment is closely related to the stiffness of the pressure-adjusting spring.

Pressure characteristic: The pressure characteristic describes the fluctuation of the output pressure caused by fluctuations in the input pressure when the flow rate is held at a certain value. As the output pressure decreases, the performance of the pressure reducing valve supplier's safety valve also improves. The output pressure must be lower than the input pressure, and this relationship remains essentially unchanged.

Flow characteristic of the LPG pressure reducing valve: The flow characteristic refers to the persistence with which the output pressure changes with changes in flow rate at a given input pressure over time. When the flow rate changes, the change in output pressure remains accurate. Generally, when the output pressure is low, its fluctuation amplitude is smaller.
