Compared to gasoline carburetors, electric vehicles have higher fuel requirements because even the smallest impurities can cause damage to delicate parts. Therefore, electric vehicles must use a special oil compressed air filter to prevent it from entering the nozzles and cooling valves. The gasoline filter is the key component that makes up the electric injection system, and only an oil filter that matches or exceeds this standard can meet the clean fuel needed for the electric injection system to achieve optimal performance and provide protection for the engine.

Gasoline is as important as human food; without it, a vehicle simply cannot move forward. Moreover, gasoline contains a large amount of impurities that can damage components such as injectors, fuel pumps and fuel lines, thus affecting the work of the fuel system. So, the function of gasoline filter comes into full play at this time. In simple terms, it is to filter out solid impurities such as iron oxide, dust or impurities such as water from the gasoline, which can reduce the possibility of the injector nozzle being clogged with dirt and also ensure the quality of the gasoline entering the fuel system.

There are two types of filters, one is porous ceramic and the other is paper. Paper filter cartridges are made of microporous filter paper after resin filtration. They are widely used because of their good filtration effect, cheap price and easy replacement.

Gasoline self-cleaning filters are divided into carburetor and EFI filters. The oil filter is set on the inlet side of the fuel pump and works under low pressure, so the nylon cover is generally used, while the fuel filter is set on the outlet of the output fuel pump and works under high pressure, so the metal housing is generally used. At present, most of the gasoline filters are made of filter paper, but also nylon cloth, polymer materials, etc.
